Great feedback on an illuminating workshop

JillNews

VMDAS and VPSA’s recent soy candle-making workshop attracted a full house of members and guests. Each attendee was able to craft and take home their own candle made using natural soy wax. The workshop was organized by our Community Building & Wellness Task Group with physician lead Dr. Mahyar Mohammadi and, with the temporary closure of the VMDAS Hub for Engagement and Wellness at VGH, was held at the UBC Medical Student and Alumni Centre.

Eleven members completed the post-event survey with respondents giving the workshop a net promoter score of 92 per cent, which makes it among the best events we have measured. Everyone agreed that the workshop developed connections between medical staff, strengthened connections between medical staff without taking family away from their families, and developed connections between medical staff and their families and friends.

Comments included:

  • So important for us docs to be able to use the creative/arts side of our brains.

  • Loved this event; please host it again!
