Tuesday, November 28: 7:15 - 8:15 pm - Indigenous, Black, and People of Colour Women Medical Staff Affinity Group: Identity
The VCH Medical Staff Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee’s affinity group for IBPOC women medical staff meets regularly to explore the intersection of gender and race as health-care providers.
The topic for our next meeting is Identity. Come share your experience and discussion around the concept of identity. We will discuss how social identity, location, and intersectionality impact our experience as IBPOC women.
The group is open to all VCH medical staff who identify as women and who are Indigenous, Black, and/or people of colour. We respectfully ask that those who don’t identify in this way understand the need for an exclusive space, and refrain from joining this group. We thank you for your allyship.
