Monday, September 30 is both Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. It is an important date for health-care providers to acknowledge. The day honours the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. VMDAS/VPSA board and staff meet regularly with VCH senior leaders to develop a collaborative relationship between medical staff and the health authority.
