Andrew Pinfold, Operations Director
Andrew joined VPSA in April 2018. He is the lead staff for VPSA and is responsible for the operational leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board. Andrew is particularly interested in approaches to build engagement and wellbeing among physicians.
Prior to joining VPSA, Andrew spent several years working in the not-for-profit sector with AutismBC and DEVO Youth Cycling. He was a professional road cyclist from 1999 to 2011 and during that time was a member of the Canadian national team.
Andrew holds a Masters degree in health administration from the University of British Columbia and both Masters and Bachelor Science degrees in geography from the University of Victoria.
Annapurna Chavali, Projects Manager
Annapurna is the most recent member of the VPSA team; she is responsible for creating an enabling environment for physicians' projects implementation.
Annapurna is an international development professional with over 15 years of experience in public health across the consulting and non-profit space in low- and middle-income countries. She is particularly interested in creating sustainable health systems. Prior to coming to Canada, her work took her to remote places in India and East Africa. Her first winter in Canada, she discovered the joys of virtual libraries and learned to crochet!
Annapurna holds a Masters degree in healthcare administration and a Bachelors in physiotherapy from India.
Cindy Liang, Administrative Assistant
Cindy joined the VPSA team in May 2019 as administrative assistant. She handles administrative tasks and event logistics. Cindy is the person you will most likely see when you sign in at our events.
Before joining VPSA, she taught English to second language learners.
