The Small Steps, Big Idea initiative provides funding for VPSA members to develop concepts that engage physicians and their colleagues, improve patient care, develop better communication, and/or build relationships across specialties, departments, health authority leadership, and community members. Senior leadership teams to review goals of their meetings

VPSA/VMDAS board and staff meet monthly with VCH senior leaders to develop a collaborative relationship between medical staff and the health authority. Those attending the April meeting heard updates on the work of the VCH Medical Staff Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as the Engaging Physicians in Indigenous Cultural (EPIC) Safety Task Group.
