I am honoured to have been confirmed at the recent VMDAS and VPSA AGM as your president and I am looking forward to working with my fellow board members in serving all our members.
Recognizing that this has been another difficult year, VMDAS and VPSA have focused efforts on several key areas such as wellness and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. These will continue to be priorities for us. In 2022 we are looking to take on additional activities around the CST rollout, new physician onboarding, and climate change. Further I am excited that we are in the final stages of developing a new strategic plan for VPSA and I look forward to sharing this with our members in the new year.
I anticipate further strengthening our relationship with VCH administration over the next two years and would like to acknowledge the enthusiasm and support provided by CEO Vivian Eliopoulos and our medical leaders on the VCH leadership team to advance our work .
Like my predecessor Dr. Eric Yoshida, I am keen to hear from members about what matters to you and to listen to your concerns. To that end, please don’t hesitate to reach out and connect.
I wish you a safe, healthy, and happy holiday and best wishes for 2022.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alison Harris, President
VPSA/VMDAS
